Lake Tahoe Weekend Trip

San Francisco to Lake Tahoe sightseeing/hiking trip in April

Day 1: Enter from North Lake Tahoe and go North to South from East side of the lake and stop at the below spots. We stayed in South Lake Tahoe

• Kings beach
• Monkey rock (2.6 miles hike)
• Memorial point scenic overlook / Tahoe east shore trail
• Sand harbor beach (best beach to swim)
• Zephyr Cove
• Dinner in South Lake Tahoe (Azul-Latin kitchen for food)

Day 2: Stay in South Lake Tahoe and drive North from West side of the lake

• Pope beach
• Park at Emerald bay state park: do trail on left side of parking to lower eagle falls via Vikingsholm. Come back again to the parking lot and go other side of the road for upper eagle falls hike
• Eagle falls vista point loop (upper eagle falls hike— 0.7 miles)
• D.L bliss state park (Lester beach and calawee cave beach)
• Ed Z’berg Sugar Pine Point State Park
• Eagle rock trail (best view 0.7 miles. Do not confuse this with Eagle falls. This is a completely different hike.
• Other hikes: Fallen leaf lake trail (2.5 miles) OR The cascade falls trail (best hike 1.4 miles)
